Body movin Body movin

Last Friday, Jay and I went to the Beastie Boys concert. Tenacious D and Ben Harper opened. I'm not really familiar with either band but really liked both. The concert was at the Roy Wilkins theater in St. Paul. I'd never been there before but we had good seats directly in front of the stage so that was good.

When the Beastie Boys played, they kept saying how happy they were to be in Minneapolis. I felt (irrationally?) annoyed by this. The concert was to promote voting and here they are, in the capital of Minnesota, and they can't get it right. It made me a little nervous that people were learning about politics from them. Take a civics class for goodness sake!

Also, the drunk man sitting behind us spilled beer all over Jay and I. I, again, was annoyed. Jay insists that its to be expected at concerts and football games. I feel that if I'm not drinking beer, I certainly don't want to smell like some random man's budwesier.

But on a more positive note, the Beastie boys played my most favorite song....Sabatoge! It was the final song of the night and it was great!
